The Innovative Antares Virtual Alternator system intelligently combines Split charging, DC-DC Charging & Battery Protection to create an extremely flexible & robust battery management system capable of dealing with the demands of modern vehicles. Its micro-processor controlled system monitors the output from the OEM alternator and adjusts accordingly to ensure the optimal charging of the auxiliary battery bank.
This system has been taken on by the Yorkshire Ambulance Service in their Fast Response & Out of Hours Doctor vehicle fleets as the battery management system of choice. This year we supplied a modified version for installation onto a fleet of Cash In Transit vehicles in order to overcome failing battery issues which came about as a result of split charging problems with new managed alternator systems.
