Fire and Rescue Industry
Antares have been serving the fire industry since inception. Due to our close understanding of this market we now have an unrivalled range of electrical equipment from our partners to give professional performance throughout the life of the appliance.
ES-Key CANbus Multiplex Available in the UK
|
ES-Key CANbus multiplexing was developed from the outset for E1 in the USA by Class 1. The system is a solid state, ruggedised, platform performing all the necessary tasks required on a modern fire appliance: signalling, situational awareness, seat belt monitoring, vehicle data recording, foam monitor control and wifi data communications.
The system has been recently introduced by Godiva controlling the CAFS systems as well as automating smaller pumpsets. |
In-station DC Power Charging to Keep the Appliance in Readiness
More and more equipment is required to remain "live" in-station to enable immediate appliance readiness. This requires the battery charger to also act as a power supply. Antares were the pioneers of "power-charging" by using unique charging regimes that charged batteries quickly but ensured that they couldn't overcharge.

Multi Voltage & Airline Vehicle Charging Station
We have a range of methods to connect vehicles to a building power source at DC, 230V 1ph, 400V 3ph including a unique self eject airline/electrical connector.
Antares have been appointed the Marechal specialist to promote the use of their innovative spring loaded AC connectors with an optional built in compressed airline disconnect. Developed in Europe to allow the appliance airbrakes to be kept in readiness without the need for on-board compressors. We were engaged by the architect to design, manufacture and supply a method of providing a multiple output charging system for the Surrey Fire & Rescue vehicle fleet at Guildford Fire Station. |
Power Tools and Scene Lighting and Submersible Pump Operation
Fire and Rescue Services have struggled with the complexity of engine mounted mains generator systems, especially as they become older.
By changing to a battery/inverter system from Antares they have been able to increase reliability and reduce maintenance and repair time to zero. |
Light Portable Pump Charger
The Godiva "Light Portable Pump" electric start battery requires a specific charging regime. Antares developed a new 12V battery float charger with built in low voltage control to protect the engine start battery This can be specified as an add-on and can be easily retro-fitted to any existing 24V system.

Dynagen High Power AC Mains at Engine Idle
Initially developed in Switzerland and Germany to be used in fire appliances and other resilience applications it has now seen service throughout Europe. It is currently in service with four UK fire authorities
The patented design, cleverly, takes power from an Allison 3000 or 4000 series gearbox and creates up to 15kW at a regulated 50Hz at any speed from tickover to 1800rpm. It can be used to export significant single or three phase power from the vehicle to provide emergency electrical supplies in flooding or other natural disasters. |
