This type of conversion is used for many reasons;
Antares offer a standard range of off-the-shelf products with some very unique control techniques developed over the years to suit some very specific applications such as the "Virtual alternator", "Integral split charge", in addition to a range of interfaces.
As system designers we modify the software for a host of specialist tasks and can call upon our engineering supply chain for special versions and customised solutions.
- Charging batteries from either an alternator or from another battery of the same type or a different chemistry
- Operate loads on vehicles at a different voltage to the chassis
- Protect sensitive equipment from voltage spikes and SMART charge systems
- Battery charge from high voltage sources such as PV panels and wind turbines or electric vehicles
