Antares were asked to integrate an off-grid backup system to ensure 24/7 power to CCTV cameras, 3G routers, and lighting.
The system monitored a construction site to combat problematic "out of hours" theft and vandalism.


Requirements

To use available power from the site generator during the day to charge the Gel batteries using our 200A universal intelligent charger.  An  inverter created the 110V AC power.

The system was designed to default to generator power when present and automatically switch to batteries if the generated power was lost.  It would also revert to battery power if someone attempted theft, tampered with, or attempted to vandalise the system.

A safe, automatic changeover between inverter and generator was provided by our Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) which allowed power to be safely switched between the two AC input sources. 

One man installation - The finished system could be installed by a single person.

Covert - when deployed it did not draw attention to itself - for this reason "Peli" or similar cases were not used.  The finished system did not look "hi-tech or valuable"
