Wind Monitoring Power System
One of our clients has the requirement of powering wind monitoring equipment in remote, off-grid locations, for prolonged periods of time, in harsh environments. Their previous solution involved regularly changing the batteries as they became depleted which incurred large transportation and labour costs. The solution to this was based around the SFC EFOY Pro which produces up to 2400Wh per day.
We worked in partnership with SFC in Germany, integrating their direct methanol fuel cells into the remote power systems. The power system also utilised renewable energies, wind turbine & solar panels, to increase the overall autonomy of the system. The system is also capable of providing automatic notifications via SMS, giving the user regular valuable system updates. The components are installed within a rugged and robust enclosure, fitted with a low temperature heat management system that protects the equipment from harsh environments. This allows the unit to be deployed in arctic or desert environments ranging from -40°C to + 50°C. |
