What state is your battery in right now? Can you rely on it to do what it needs to? Is it being charged, or discharging? Is it "OK" or needs more charging? Or is it so flat that it needs overnight charging? Usually the only indication is when it lets you down. 

The Antares battery status indicator indicates battery voltage levels, and shows whether the battery is going up or down (being charged or being dis-charged). 

Clever use of just three LEDs provides an immediate, on-demand, visual indication that is useful to any driver/operator.  The indicators are only lit when the button is pressed to avoid discharging the battery when stationary.
