The high power makes them suitable for charging large battery banks such as those on electric vehicles and applications such as mobile libraries.

They can also be used as a powerful DC source from a 230VAC or 110VAC on-board diesel generating set.

The micro-processor control of the UPC chargers has preset regimes which accurately charge Flooded as well as AGM and Cyclic Duty GEL batteries.

The charger can be equipped with features such as external temperature/voltage sensing for charging of batteries mounted remotely from the charger, significantly improving the rate of battery charging.
