Military APU provides 30 minutes autonomy (without engine).
Some years ago we awere asked to provide 300Amp of power without any engine assistance, to power a transmitter that was going to be used in theatre, and it was vital that if the engine lost power, transmissions could continue for at least another half an hour or so.
It is now sucessfully deployed in theatre and being supplied on a regular basis.
