AC mains power direct from the Allison gearbox
If you use Allison series gearboxes, then Dynagen is the option to provide quality AC power from 6.6kW to 15kW. The system is powered directly from the gearbox hydraulic PTO and provides frequency controlled mains power with engine speeds in the range of 800 - 1800 rpm. Initially developed for use in fire appliances the Dynagen is unique in that it works across a wide range of engine/gearbox speeds. This is useful in applications where there is another pump or compressor which requires the engine speed to be raised or where the engine speed varies due to load. It can also be used whilst driving.
The system and its installation is massively simplified by the elimination of the usual separate oil tanks - instead it draws its fluid from the Allison gearbox. The hydraulic generator is very compact and the hydraulic couplings make positioning very flexible. As the system eliminates the use of belts it is virtually maintenance free.

Antares chosen for upated charging system for Terrafix equipped appliances
Modern appliances that are equipped with Terrafix comms systems can draw up to 23amps from the batteries when "in station" so the shoreline charging system has to be able to supply that current and more, without gassing the batteries.
Antares continue production of Light Portable Pump charger
Most Fire Services have at least one appliance with a Godiva "Light Portable Pump" - a unit which has electric start, and lives on the fire appliance until needed. Then it's lifted off carried to where it is need and started up. Years ago it would have been charged from our "Aux 12" additional output within our IPC-2 range of chargers, but now we offer it as an add-on to that can be easily retro-fitted to any existing 24V system on the appliance.
Don't mess up the appliance batteries:
The battery on the LPP is quite special, it is not the same as any other "12V" battery and using a standard 12V battery charger will soon cause irreperable damage by over-charging it, and as it is often connected to the mid-point of the 24V battery pair will very quickly take the "bottom" battery with it.
Once the damage starts it's not long until both batteries on the appliance are aslo damaged beyond repair, and they too will gass when any charging voltage is applied. In short - the LPP battery takes out the other two, just becuase it wasn't charged properly.
The solution is simple: Antares LPP charger (90152). One again Antares understand the subtle differences and has an engineered solution that not only prolongs the service life of the LPP battery, but also prevents preamature failure of the main service batteries.
