Auto Split Charge- Fit and Forget!
Split charge systems are fitted on vehicles to ensure that the engine start battery is always available to start the vehicle. The easy-fit split charge works by ensuring that the engine start battery cannot be discharged too far by the auxiliary loads and connections.
The Antares unit uses an electronically controlled high power switch which responds directly to the on-board voltage. It recognises the reducing voltage of the battery which makes it turn off (disconnect) and also the presence of the alternator or external power supply (when fitted) which re-connects everything. It is also compatible with the new breed of electronic regulators and the new generation of larger 200A alternators.
